Introduction

A year long curriculum that uses illustrations to spark discussion around internet safety, responsible consumption, sustainability and mental health.

The curriculum is made up of 5 chapters, each built around a theme that students are naturally curious about.

The visual approach communicates to them in a visual language they are familiar with through social media. The questions and activities develop creative and critical thinking muscles and social emotional learning.

This is a high quality curriculum that features unique artworks by contemporary creators from all over the world.

    FAQs

Teachers from any background can teach the curriculum as it is designed around images that 'do most of the talking'. In the past, English, maths, social studies, social-emotional learning, art, design and school counsellors have ran sessions with students.
The artworks featured are designed to be engaging to all age groups, and the visible thinking routine can be used with all age groups, What would change depending on student age and background is the depth of the conversation that the images trigger.
The curriculum is a large-scale collaboration between 40 contemporary digital artists and illustrators from around the world, design thinking and visual literacy experts. We also consult subject matter experts and have a teacher consultant on our board.
Lessons are designed in 10, 20 and 30 minute segments. They can be taught in 1 block or sections. They are purposely designed to be flexible and versatile and sustained attention from students is one of our key benefits.
